SIX MINUTES AGO is the new solo project of Alexey Protasov of AMBASSADOR21 and SUICIDE INSIDE, built around his own dark reinterpretations of familiar songs.

Coming from a long-standing love of different kinds of alternative music, SIX MINUTES AGO moves between new wave, psychedelic and alternative sounds, post-punk, dark pop, outlaw country, folk and even spirituals, with industrial elements and dark electronics holding everything together.

A velvety low voice sits over melancholic guitars and deep bass, sometimes turning a familiar song into something almost entirely new, with a radically different arrangement that still keeps the vibe and emotions of the original – and a certain affection for the healthy suspicion that every song can always be made a little darker.

The debut “Creep” EP brings together “Creep” (Radiohead), “Henry Lee” (Traditional / Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) and “Everybody Walkin’ This Land” (Paul Cauthen) – three very different songs, each given its own entirely new arrangement and reimagined within the same dark, melancholic world, revealing a slightly unexpected new shape along the way.
