Geprägt von Punk-artigen ultra-hektischen Gitarrensamples und weiblichem Brüll-Gesang zerrt auch diese CD wieder sehr an den Nerven. Das ist ein Sound, der, ebenso wie der von den Göttern des vorliegenden Duos aus Minsk, Atari Teenage Riot, nur Eingeweihte richtig kickt. Und andere, auch experimentierfreudige EBM/Industrial-Freaks, eher verschreckt. „Riot Generation” stellt wie die letztjährige Best Of „X“ auf dem Hands-Label wieder kein neues Album dar. Vielmehr handelt es sich beim Einstand ihres eigenen Labels um eine Remixsammlung. Trotzdem ist die Grundstimmung aller Songs die gleiche: Alle Tracks transportieren auch in fremder Bearbeitung die extrem aggressive Haltung von Natasha A. Twentyone und Alexey Protasov. Die Remixe von Xotox, Treponem, Pal & Co. bringen ein bisschen Abwechslung in den Sound. Aber eben nur ein bisschen. Richtig neu ist nur der Titeltrack, eine recht eindimensionale Knüppelnummer. Dieser und die älteren „Fuck All Systems“ und „Dope On“ sind es, die auf dem Album wieder und wieder auftauchen.

Alexey Protasov hat sich für seine Krachcombo AMBASSADOR21 nun perfekte Voraussetzungen geschaffen und kurzerhand ein eigenes Label erschaffen, auf dem nun die neusten Alben erscheinen werden.

“Riot Generation” ist nun die erste Scheibe auf diesem Label. Dieses Album ist eine Remix Album und enthält neben 5 Versionen des Titeltracks noch neue Versionen von “Fuck All Systems” und “Dope On”.

“Riot Generation” ist als Track wie ein Schlag in die Kauleiste. Rasante Sequenzer, bollernde Beats, rasende Gitarrenriffs und sehr aggressive Voices der beiden Protagonisten. Verziert wird die Musik noch durch viele Loops und Break Beat Elemente, doch hauptsächlich ist das Ziel megamäßig an der Aggressionsschraube zu drehen.

Auch “Fuck All Systems 14” ist der absolute Knaller und bringt die Lautsprecher an den Rande des Burnout. Ein wahrer genialer Overkill für die Ohren und vor allem Live der Kick zum kollektiven ausrasten!!

Die Remix Versionen die folgend alle kommen geben den Titeln erstaunliche Variationen und bleiben permanent spannend und zutiefst aufwühlend. Ein echte Freude wenn man auf elektronischen Krach bis zur Schmerzgrenze steht. Freunde von ATR werden auch garantiert ihre Freunde dran haben!!  Freu mich auf euch aufm M’era Luna!!!

After some quality digital-hardcore? Best give the latest album by Ambassador21 a listen then. It’s ten tracks (3 songs and multiple remixes of each by various other artists, so I’m not sure if its an EP with a bunch of extras or an LP in and of itself ) of pissed off aggression, heavy techno beats, blaring guitars, heavily distorted sounds (possibly the odd missile strike), and generally up for it noise. It’s also got some ridiculously bouncy bits (cause the Black-Block deserves something to dance to) and one of the best vocal duets I’ve heard this side of Alec Empire and Hanin Elias’s hayday, so among all the techno-brutalism there are some serious musical skills on show.
Title track Riot Generation deserves to become a dancefloor classic whilst Fuck All Systems could also do good service to a movie soundtrack (assuming it was something dystopian). There isn’t an original version of Dope On to give a clear opinion on, but both versions are a mellow break from the rest of the tracks and show that there is diversity in this duo’s work, rather than the over-powered one-trick-pony that can be the trap of the genre. The only two incredibly minor niggles I can find with it (and I’m being petty and selfish with these) is that not all the lyrics are in English, so I can’t make out everything they are saying in their native Russian, and that its mostly remixes rather than a full brace of tracks. However those are minor concerns as this is fundamentally great to melt your stereo with.

Attention! This is unauthorized event! You might be punished for listening to this EP of AMBASSADOR21! But if you ask me, I would prefer to be punished for NOT listening to it! ‘Riot Generation’ is the best thing that could happen to digital hooligans around the world and you better have this. If you are into riots-romantic and against all the systems – AMBASSADOR21 is the best soundtrack for your protests. Who can know better about this kind of protests than this amazing duo, who originally came from Belorussia – also known as the last dictatorship in Europe. This record is full of anger and aggression supported by even more energy of such bands as XOTOX.

More over this release is also about fighting for your life. The EP is released after one of the duo members Alexey Protasov recovered after the throat cancer treatment. During the recovery fans all over the world supported the musician by crowd funding and the charity compilations ‘Fuck All Diseases’ and ‘3dorovie’. So everyone who donated and supported Alexey had a chance to receive a download link for the EP for free.
