INVASION WRECK CHORDS CATALOGUE

"This Is Hardcore" is the brand new full-length album from Madrid-based electronic music producer CTRLer, also known as collaborator of AMBASSADOR21 and PLACID.
Two years have been necessary for CTRLer to design, create and produce his third album titled "This Is Hardcore". The title is a good description of what we are going to look for inside: fast beats, breakcore chaos and hard drum-n-bass. In the same line as his previous album "Noize For America" (D-Trash Records 2005), the new album is again full of samples from his favourite metal bands, such as MARILYN MANSON, TOOL or FEAR FACTORY. These names are not in the credits but it's not difficult to discover the samples if you listen carefully between noises, breaks and overdrives.
As bonus tracks, the album includes three remixes by BONG-RA, PROYECTO MIRAGE and RPA. The artwork, as usual, has been designed by Carolina Alcala, including a restyled logo and a very sexy cover. MORE INFO

Things start somewhat calm with a cut up and glitchy intro, warming up the audience for what is yet to come. It prepares the listener to be taken on a trip through the mind of Erik Schleicher, or, to speak in more precise terms, deep down into the ViruZ Realm. This artist has a history of more than 10 years making hard hitting music, and it shows. From industrialesque patterns to pure breakcore mania, he manages to cover a broad variety of styles, never forgetting his musical roots to come back with some high speed hardcore attacks here and there.
Though there are a lot of samples on various tracks, BooT-SectoR-ViruZ always maintains to keep them fresh and original with a tongue-in-cheek aspect and even sampling The Prodigy gives things a nice drift. It's almost impossible to categorize this release by any musical terms as there are no weak tracks and no track sounds the same. Amazingly the album still sounds very homogeneous. "Anti-Matter" takes the listener back to the good old times of broken beats and hard electronic music while keeping up with the present and the future as well.
In times like these where anyone owning a PC and fucking around with some pirated music program calls himself an underground producer, BooT-SectoR-ViruZ, the one and original "Disco Daddy", proves that there are still people able to develope a very unqique style while taking things not too serious. Martin Steinebach aka MONOID brandnew "Crowd Control" comes back to mixture of quasi-song structures and ambient experiments after the purely rhythmic "Virtual Violence" and last years experimental "Pattern hiding" 3". It features some of the harshest as well as the most melodic and danceable tracks released by MONOID so far, trying to be interesting and accessible at the same time. The applied rhythms are a mixture of programmed beats and sampled loops, ranging between high speed assaults to slow motion pressure. Vocal sounds come from own recordings and movie samples, mixing German and English language.
"Crowd Control" is a soundtrack for a world slowly going mad as the once bright information age is ripped apart by chaos and social unrest where power structures fight those who once gave them power, cities consume their inhabitants and helpless individuals are paralyzed waiting for aid which will never come.
